Located on the slopes of Mount Lebanon at 1,150–1,200 m altitude, Domaine de Baal overlooks the Bekaa Valley from just above the town of Zahlé. The estate was founded in 2006 by Sébastien Khoury, a Saint-Émilion-trained winemaker who returned to Lebanon to craft wines of place and precision.
The 6-hectare vineyard, originally planted in the early 1990s, sits on clay-limestone soils shaped by cold, wet winters and hot, dry summers – an ideal setting for balanced ripening and structure. The farming is fully organic, and winemaking follows a low-intervention philosophy: wild fermentations, gravity-led transfers, no fining or filtration, and low total sulphur.
Domaine de Baal wines are layered, elegant, and gastronomic, offering purity, depth, and a clear sense of site.
